Sessions for Every Age Group
Little Golfers
A fun introduction to the game. Sessions focus on grip, stance, and making solid contact — all delivered with games, targets, and plenty of encouragement. No experience needed.
Junior Development
For juniors who are serious about improving. Jack works on technique, course management, mental skills, and competitive preparation — building the full game needed to lower handicaps.
More than just golf
Why Junior Golf?
Builds confidence
Learning a new skill and seeing real improvement boosts self-belief on and off the course.
Improves focus
Golf teaches patience, concentration, and the ability to reset after a bad shot — skills for life.
Time outdoors
Fresh air, green spaces, and physical activity — a perfect screen-free activity.
Social skills
Golf is played with others. Juniors learn etiquette, sportsmanship, and how to carry themselves on the course.
Life skills
Discipline, goal-setting, and resilience — golf is one of the best teachers of the things that matter beyond sport.
Competition pathway
For those who want it: Jack can prepare juniors for club competitions, county trials, and county squads.
What happens in a session
What to Expect
A relaxed welcome
Jack makes sure every junior feels comfortable from the moment they arrive — no pressure, just fun.
Assessment first
Before any changes, Jack watches how they swing. Every session plan is built around what the individual needs, not a generic programme.
Drills and games
Juniors learn best through doing, not listening. Sessions use targets, competitions, and challenges to build skills in an engaging way.
Clear takeaways
At the end of every session, Jack gives one or two simple things to practise so the improvement continues between lessons.
For parents
Parent FAQ
What age can my child start?
Jack coaches juniors from age 6. There's no minimum ability required — just enthusiasm. We've started complete beginners at 6 and had them hitting the ball well within a few sessions.
Do they need their own clubs?
Not to start. Jack has junior loan clubs available for the first few sessions while you decide if golf is for them. Once they're committed, we can advise on the right set.
Can I watch the lesson?
Yes, parents and guardians are welcome to watch from the side. Jack will keep you updated on progress after every session.
Is Jack DBS checked?
Yes. Jack is fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and holds a safeguarding qualification. Your child's safety is the first priority.
My child is nervous about trying something new — will that be okay?
Absolutely. Jack is experienced at working with shy or nervous juniors. The first session is always relaxed and fun — no pressure, no embarrassment, just golf.
Ready to book a junior session?
